NEW BUILD SCAFFOLDING INSTALLATION
Sid Little Scaffolding provided a full scaffolding package for the new Chapel Green residential development by Bakers Estates in East-the-Water, Bideford.
The development consists of approximately 30 bungalow plots with attached garages, requiring a consistent and reliable scaffolding solution to support roofing, external blockwork, rendering, and finishing trades throughout the build programme.
Working closely with the site team, Sid Little Scaffolding delivered a phased installation schedule to ensure each plot was scaffolded efficiently and ready for contractors without delaying construction timelines.

The scaffold design incorporated two working lift levels to each property, alongside dedicated platform access to the gable ends to allow safe and practical access for roofline and finishing works. All scaffolding on the project was erected in accordance with TG20:21 compliance standards, ensuring the structures met current industry guidance for safety, stability, and loadings.
On average, each property scaffold took approximately 48 hours to complete, with installations carefully coordinated around the wider construction programme. Across the full 30 plot site, the project utilised approximately 600 tonnes of scaffolding equipment, helping to create safe access solutions across all active plots.
